Charity for 2010

Each year Scooter World will be supporing a different charity close to our hearts.

For 2010 we are helping support Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. We have a collection box located on the counter of our Chiswick Branch and will be hosting fund-raisers during the year to top up our yearly donation total.

Why?

Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital Charity raise money to enable Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide world-class care for its young patients and their families and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illness by:

• Contributing to the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital
• Funding the most up-to-date equipment
• Supporting research into, and development of, breakthrough treatments; and
• Providing accommodation and other support services for children and their families.

How could you help?

Donating £10 - could buy a large tin of paint to help us decorate the walls and ceilings of a new ward

Donating £20 - could buy four special neonatal masks, small and delicate enough to fit a new born baby’s face

Donating £35 - could help towards the cost of an operating microscope for one of our surgical theatres

Donating £50 - could pay for five nights up keep for one of our patient accommodation rooms

Donating £100 - a great big gift like this could buy four toys specially adapted for the children to help with their rehabilitation

Donating £500 - a respiration monitor to track a child’s breathing
